The best coffee in MBR City is at a racecourse
Not a joke and not a recommendation dressed up as one: with Meydan One Mall still unbuilt, the district's café options are the racecourse, one promenade, and Business Bay. Which of the three applies to you depends entirely on which community you live in.
Meydan Racecourse and hotel
Rationed Cafe at the Grandstand and the Millennium Lounge at The Meydan Hotel — morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon tea on a terrace facing the track — are the district's own answer, open outside race days. It is a drive rather than a walk from every community here, but it is inside MBR City, which nothing else at this level is.
Riviera's promenade
The only community with walkable coffee of its own: independents and a couple of chains along the canal. See Riviera's coffee page for what is there, including the roastery it is best known for.
District One, Meydan, Sobha Hartland
These carry no dense retail of their own and lean on Business Bay, minutes away across Al Khail Road, or on the racecourse. Worth knowing before picturing a walkable café scene from a render — the render is usually of Meydan One Mall, which has not opened.
